Lotte Card held a ceremony with the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation to deliver donations for a shelter for pediatric cancer patients and their families, along with an employee social contribution fund.
The ceremony, held on the 9th at Lotte Card headquarters in Jongno District, Seoul, was attended by Jeong Sang-ho, CEO of Lotte Card, and Seo Seonwon, secretary general of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
Since 2018, Lotte Card has supported Hope Lodge with the Credit Card Social Contribution Foundation to help pediatric cancer patients and their families. The latest donation, worth 290,746,615 won, will be used to open the eighth Hope Lodge.
Hope Lodge is a separate lodging facility where pediatric cancer patients and their families from outside the capital area can stay while receiving treatment. Since the first location opened, a total of 20,445 people had used the facilities through April 2026. Located near Daehangno and Seoul National University of Education Station, close to major hospitals in Seoul, it helps reduce the physical burden of commuting for treatment and is equipped with bedding, tableware, and daily necessities.
Lotte Card also delivered 12,688,528 won in employee social contribution funds collected last year to support treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients. The fund was raised through a salary-rounding donation campaign, in which employees donate the small change from their paychecks, and a matching grant program in which the company contributes the same amount. This year marks the 12th year that Lotte Card has delivered employee social contribution funds, bringing cumulative donations to 161,536,660 won.
