Lotte ON to Offer Voluntary Retirement for Employees with at Least Three Years of Service

Lotte ON, the e-commerce platform of Lotte Shopping, will offer voluntary retirement to employees who have worked there for at least three years.

Applications will be accepted until the end of the month. After an internal review, approved employees will receive a lump-sum payment of up to 12 months' salary upon retirement. The company will also provide education support of 10 million won per child attending university.

Launched in 2020 as the integrated online mall for Lotte Group's retail business division, Lotte ON posted sales of 27.2 billion won and an operating loss of 5.8 billion won in the first quarter of this year. Sales edged down slightly, while the operating loss narrowed by 2.7 billion won from a year earlier.

A Lotte ON official explained, "We decided to carry out voluntary retirement in order to rebuild the organization into a more competitive one through workforce restructuring amid the rapidly changing e-commerce market environment."

Meanwhile, Lotte ON also carried out voluntary retirement twice in 2024.
