[Sportschosun, Jang Jong-ho] Global pop star Ariana Grande, 32, who recently broke up with her boyfriend, shed tears on stage during a concert.
According to U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six, she was moved to tears by the audience's enthusiastic support during The Eternal Sunshine Tour concert held on the 13th local time at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles (LA).
On stage, she said, "It's been seven years since I stood in front of you, and I'm grateful that you have always stayed by my side and supported me during that time."
Overcome with emotion, she also lightened the mood with a joke, saying, "I'm a Cancer, so this is what happens." As the cheers continued, she could not hold back her tears and added, "Thank you for always being such a safe and warm presence for so long."
She also said it was her first time touring while wearing contact lenses, joking, "This is the first time I feel like I can really see all of you properly." Her remark drew laughter from the crowd.
The tears drew even more attention because they came shortly after news of her breakup.
According to local media, Grande reportedly ended her relationship with singer and actor Ethan Slater, whom she had dated for about three years, several months ago.
However, the two are reportedly still on friendly terms.
The pair first met in 2022 through the film Wicked. At the time, Grande was married to her ex-husband Dalton Gomez, while Slater was also married to his ex-wife Lilly Jay. After going through their respective divorces, they continued their relationship publicly.
