Toyota Motor Korea launched the fully redesigned All-New RAV4 on the 16th and began sales at official dealerships nationwide.

Since its debut in 1994, the RAV4 has become one of Toyota's flagship sports utility vehicles (SUVs), with cumulative global sales surpassing 15 million units. Through the new RAV4, Toyota Motor Korea plans to strengthen its hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) lineup and expand connected services as it targets the domestic electrification market.

The new RAV4 is offered in four trims: HEV XLE, HEV LIMITED, PHEV XSE, and PHEV GR SPORT.

The PHEV model combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine, a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, and a high-efficiency e-Axle to deliver a combined output of 329 horsepower. Equipped with a 22.68 kWh battery, it can travel up to 77 km in electric mode. It also supports 50 kW CCS1 fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes.

The HEV model raises combined output to 230-239 horsepower. The XLE trim delivers a combined fuel economy of 19.0 km/L, while the LIMITED trim achieves 15.6 km/L. The LIMITED trim and PHEV model are equipped with Toyota E-Four, a four-wheel-drive system, to improve driving stability.

Based on the improved TNGA-K platform, the body’s torsional rigidity has been increased by about 10% compared with the previous model. For the first time in a Toyota vehicle, the structure directly connects the A-pillar and suspension tower, reducing vibration and noise while improving ride comfort.

Inside, the vehicle features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch center display. Some trims also come with shift-by-wire technology.

The new RAV4 also receives Toyota Connect, Toyota's next-generation connected service, for the first time. Developed in collaboration with LG Uplus, the service offers remote engine start and climate control through a smartphone app, vehicle status checks, and parking location tracking. It also supports voice recognition powered by NAVER CLOVA AI.

Toyota Safety Sense, the preventive safety system, has also been upgraded. A Driver Monitoring Camera and Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) have been newly added to enhance safety.

The newly added PHEV GR Sport trim strengthens driving performance and sporty appeal with a dedicated bumper and spoiler, exclusive 20-inch wheels, and a unique suspension setup.

Along with the launch of the new RAV4, Toyota Motor Korea plans to operate test-drive programs and community experience programs tailored to customer lifestyles.

Based on a 3.5% individual consumption tax rate, the new RAV4 is priced at 49.27 million won for the HEV XLE, 57.46 million won for the HEV LIMITED, 61.60 million won for the PHEV XSE, and 61.80 million won for the PHEV GR SPORT.

Manabu Konyama, president of Toyota Motor Korea, said, "The All-New RAV4 is a model that delivers an electrified driving experience suited to a wide range of lifestyles and usage environments," adding, "It will support customers' diverse mobility needs in both urban and outdoor settings."
