[Sportschosun reporter Jang Jong-ho] Daejin Medical Foundation's Bundang Jesaeng Hospital held a farewell ceremony for its 11th hospital director, Na Hwa-yeop, and an inauguration ceremony for its 12th hospital director, Son Jeong-hwan, in the main auditorium on the 17th.
At the event, the hospital paid tribute to Na Hwa-yeop, who led the hospital's stable growth and development during his term. Son Jeong-hwan, the new 12th hospital director from the Department of Urology, then officially took office. His term runs through Dec. 31, 2028.
In his inaugural address, Son presented "growth through change and sharing" as his vision. He outlined three key priorities: strengthening clinical competitiveness to respond to future changes in the medical environment, building a stable and organic platform-based medical system, and enhancing branding centered on patient experience.
He also said, "I will do my utmost not only to provide the best medical services, but also to create a hospital where patients and their families can feel warmth and trust."
After graduating from Pusan National University College of Medicine, Son gained broad experience in both clinical care and hospital management. He served as head of the Department of Urology, director of the Quality Improvement Department, planning director, head of the International Medical Center, and chief of medical affairs at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital. In particular, he played a central role in ensuring the hospital's stable operation and development, contributing to stronger organizational competitiveness.
Meanwhile, as Bundang Jesaeng Hospital marks its 28th anniversary, the Daejin Medical Foundation hospital plans to use the new director's inauguration as a turning point. It aims to respond proactively to the rapidly changing medical environment and leap forward as a leading medical institution in the local community through sustainable growth and innovation.
