According to foreign media outlets such as The Sun, around 8:45 a. m.
on the 10th (local time), surfer Rex was sitting on his surfboard waiting for a big wave off the coast of California. At the time, he remained on the water, completely unaware of his surroundings.
However, a huge shadow beneath the surface slowly approached him. It was a shark.
The shark circled around the surfer and gradually drew closer, but Rex did not notice it for a while. Later, upon belatedly spotting the shark, Rex quickly moved his body and began cutting through the water.
As soon as the shark's dorsal fin emerged above the water, he immediately turned and fled rapidly toward the shore. Fortunately, the shark stopped the chase shortly after and turned toward the deep sea.
It was a heart-stopping moment. Nick Bertoccini, a drone photographer who captured the scene, said in an interview with a local broadcaster, "I spotted a shark continuously circling around the surfer," adding, "I often see sharks while filming, but this time it exhibited much more exploratory behavior than usual.
" He went on to express relief, saying, "Fortunately, no accident occurred. " Experts urged people to avoid swimming or surfing alone in areas where shark sightings have been reported, and to get out of the water immediately upon receiving a warning from a drone or rescue personnel.
