KCC held a Compliance Day event at its Seoul headquarters on the 24th, attended by CEO Jeong Jae-hoon, the compliance officer, members of the compliance committee, and executives and team leaders from the sales division.

The event was designed to share the chief executive's commitment to compliance across the company and to inform employees about the revised fair trade compliance policy and future operating direction. Participants also took part in a pledge to uphold fair trade compliance, reaffirming their commitment to fostering a fair and transparent corporate culture. In addition, the company presented key first-half Compliance Program (CP) activities and results, along with an explanation of the revised fair trade compliance policy.

Key first-half achievements included direct visits to major suppliers nationwide to conduct CP audit activities related to subcontracting transactions and review compliance with regulations. The company also heard partner firms' concerns, identified areas for improvement, promoted the use of standard contracts, achieved a 90.6% participation rate in CP risk self-assessments, and recorded a completion rate of over 90% in education on ethical management and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act.

KCC also declared the third quarter of 2026 a special self-compliance period. To support this initiative, the company plans to review the status of standard contract use in subcontracting and agency transactions, conduct internal surveys of suppliers and agency owners, and expand special fair trade training and CP culture promotion activities. It will also revise the Fair Trade Compliance Manual to improve its practical use in the field. In addition, the company will strengthen efforts led by each organization's self-compliance leaders to identify and manage fair trade risks that may arise during business operations. By activating its advance consultation system and internal reporting system, KCC aims to prevent possible violations of regulations and will continue improving the effectiveness of its compliance management framework through regular monitoring and self-inspections. The company also plans to expand employee participation programs such as Compliance Day, a compliance idea contest, and a quiz competition to spread a self-compliance culture throughout the organization.

KCC compliance officer Kwon Sung-wook said, "Compliance management is an important foundation that supports a company's sustainable growth and trust." He added, "We will continue to strengthen education, prevention, and inspection activities so that all executives and employees can practice self-compliance in the workplace and help spread that culture."

Meanwhile, KCC previously appointed team leaders from all departments across the company as 'Fair Trade Compliance Practice Leaders' and has activated Compliance Day through field-oriented activities led by general employees. Kim So-hyung, Sportschosun
