"It’s Hard to Bring Up the Wounds": Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung Reclaim Their Friendship After 15 Years, Moving Uhm Jung-hwa to Tears (Sora and Jin-kyung) [SC Review]

[Sportschosun] Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung not only succeeded in taking the runway, but also deepened the meaning of their journey by mending a friendship that had been strained for years.

In the final episode of MBC's "Sora and Jin-kyung," which aired on the 14th, the last chapter of Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung's challenge to walk the Paris Fashion Week (PFW) runway was revealed. In the studio, their longtime friend Uhm Jung-hwa joined the show and watched their journey unfold.

Uhm Jung-hwa said, "It was nice to see the two of them together. Watching the show brought back memories of the past," adding, "My own story was mentioned several times on the program, so I followed it even more closely."

The broadcast showed the Paris Fashion Week stage the two had taken part in. Lee So-ra walked the runway alongside active models and delivered a steady performance, while Hong Jin-kyung also made her presence felt as she returned to the runway after a long time.

At a Korean restaurant they visited after the runway, it was revealed that Lee So-ra had given up a separate campaign shoot in order to walk the runway with Hong Jin-kyung. The two then added to their achievements by hearing that they had passed the audition for the brand they had applied to.

Two days later, Hong Jin-kyung also appeared on the runway for a private show by a high-end brand. While she wrapped up her schedule by modeling two looks, Lee So-ra enjoyed some free time touring downtown Paris. At the Eiffel Tower plaza, she also met Paco, a local man known for speaking Korean, and took a commemorative photo with him.

On the final night of their journey, the two shared an honest conversation at a restaurant in Montmartre. At Hong Jin-kyung's request, Lee So-ra played "Don't Worry, My Dear" on the piano and expressed her support.

After the performance ended, the two looked at each other and cried. Hong Jin-kyung said, "It brings back things from the past," and added, "I think we went through so much that we couldn't keep in touch with each other."

Lee So-ra replied, "It wasn't easy to bring up the wounds again. It was better to just bury them and live on." She went on to say, "I know you've had a hard life. From now on, everything will be fine."

Hong Jin-kyung said, "I'm happy and grateful to meet my sister again," and Uhm Jung-hwa, who was watching, also shed tears. Uhm Jung-hwa said, "I know that while each of us was going through difficult times, we chose to spend time alone."

The special broadcast of "Sora and Jin-kyung," titled "Sora and Jin-kyung: Road to the Runway," will air on the 17th at 9 p.m. It will feature the audition process for Paris Fashion Week and previously unrevealed stories from the cast.
