[Sportschosun Jeong Bit] Lee Jin-joo, the producer behind "Exchange (Transit Love)," is unveiling a new dating variety show on Netflix.
"Love Experiment Lab," set to premiere on the 17th, is a dating experiment variety show that observes how contestants' emotions change when they are placed in unexpected situations. Attention is focused on what kinds of relationships they will form in a variety of settings.
Above all, the new project is drawing attention as Lee Jin-joo's latest work after directing TVING's "Exchange" series and Wavve's "My Sibling's Romance."
Having moved to Netflix, Lee plans to capture the contestants' shifting emotions and relationships through a new dating experiment in each episode of "Love Experiment Lab." With a setup that sets it apart from existing dating shows, expectations are also rising for Lee's signature delicate portrayal of emotions.
Monsta X's Joohoney and creator Charles Enter will also be key figures as observers. The two will watch the experiment unfold, analyze the contestants' emotional changes, and share reactions from their own perspectives.
The core of the show is the "dating experiment" carried out in each episode. Contestants meet new connections and build relationships in situations they would not normally experience. Unusual setups, including a "bed blind date" in which they share a bed with someone of the opposite sex they have just met, have been teased, raising curiosity about how unpredictable relationship shifts and psychological battles will play out.
"Love Experiment Lab" will release episodes 1 and 2 simultaneously on Netflix at 11 a.m. on the 17th.
