[Sportschosun reporter Ahn So-yoon] Actor Jin Seon-kyu expressed deep affection for his wife, actor Park Bo-kyung.
Jin met with Sportschosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, on the 22nd and said, "I am a husband who says yes to my wife. I tend to answer positively all the time."
Netflix's film Husbands, released on the 19th, is a comedy action movie about an unpredictable rescue mission in which a former husband and a current husband team up by chance to save a wife kidnapped by a criminal organization. Directed by Park Gyu-tae, who helmed 6/45, the film stars Jin as Chungsik, the ex-husband of city detective Choi.
Jin spoke about Park's reaction after watching Husbands, saying, "My wife came to the theater for our premiere and watched the movie. She saw that there were more action scenes than she expected and said, 'Now I understand why you were hurting when you got home.'"
Park also drew strong attention from global viewers with the Netflix series released in February this year. On that, Jin said, "I'm happy that my wife is doing well, and I hope she gets even busier from here. I don't mind taking care of the kids myself. Since I also do stage acting, I want to put real effort into it, and that takes time."
When asked what kind of husband he is at home, he replied, "I'm a yes-man. If my wife suggests something, I just say okay to everything. That's true not only with my wife, but also with my children." He added, "Whether it's good news or bad news, I end up answering positively to everything. That's how we've been since the beginning."
He continued, "We also read scripts together. Even when I don't tell my wife what role I was offered, she sometimes guesses it correctly. And since we're raising children, I can't just go somewhere alone and rehearse lines. When the kids are at school, we help each other practice the other character's lines."
