[Sportschosun | Jo Min-jeong] A woman who previously drew attention by revealing her conflict with her ex-husband on 'Hottest Couples' has once again become the focus after posting additional messages on social media.
On the 22nd, a long post appeared on the woman's social media account, along with the hashtag "Mutual divorce on August 9, 2018." The writer said she had been divorced by mutual agreement after seven years of marriage. She claimed that she endured verbal abuse and violence throughout the marriage, and that her former in-laws repeatedly borrowed money from her. She then hinted at more revelations, saying, "I will keep posting more."
The photo shared with the post showed a handwritten note. It included phrases such as, "I am a mother of one child who has been fighting for 13 years" and "I am a mother of one child living as a citizen of South Korea."
The writer also claimed in the comments that the conflict is still ongoing. When one internet user asked about child support, she wrote, "He came looking for us after 13 years and cursed at the child," adding, "He told the child, 'Who do you think you are to go to an academy?'" In another comment about unpaid child support, she claimed, "I have tried everything, including suspending his driver's license, banning him from leaving the country, and detention." She added, "He was once given a 15-day detention order, but in the end I received 5 million won during the settlement process. I asked for the unpaid child support, but he still did not pay afterward."
As the post spread, an old episode of Channel A and ENA's 'Hottest Couples,' titled "Publicly Searching for the Bad Father," has also drawn renewed attention.
That episode featured a woman who said she had suffered verbal abuse, assault, and infidelity at the hands of her ex-husband, a former open-recruitment comedian. She claimed that even after the divorce, she did not receive proper child support. The program also said that after his business succeeded, the ex-husband hid his assets and avoided paying child support.
Soon after the broadcast, the online discussion escalated as the real name of a specific comedian was mentioned, but the person identified denied all related allegations. At the time, he said, "It is not true that I never paid child support," and argued that much of the broadcast was distorted. He also said he would take legal action.
Meanwhile, because the latest social media post reflects only the writer's claims, the additional allegations of verbal abuse and unpaid child support have not been independently verified.
