Lee Hoon, burdened by 3 billion won in debt, returns to the screen after 17 years... Cast in 'December 3 Martial Law'

3' (subtitle 'PM 10:24', directed by Park Kyung-soo) has finalized its main cast and will begin filming this coming September. Gong Hyung-jin, Lee Sang-hoon, Shim Hoon-ki, Lee Hoon, and Kwon Se-hyun have confirmed their appearances in the film.

3' is a political drama thriller based on the martial law situation that occurred on December 3, 2024. Using an event that shocked modern Korean history as its subject matter, the film plans to reconstruct and depict the situation and background of that night through cinematic imagination.

In the film, Gong Hyung-jin will play the role of 'Gye-young,' a president who is a former Prosecutor General. He is a character who makes the extreme decision to declare a state of emergency amidst distrust of the existing political establishment.

Lee Hoon appears in the role of the Presidential Chief of Staff. As a key figure who strongly opposes the declaration of emergency right up until the moment it is announced and clashes head-on with the President, he is expected to drive the tension of the drama.

This project is also drawing attention as it marks Lee Hoon's return to the big screen after a long hiatus. For a while, he received more attention for business and livelihood issues than for his acting career.

Lee Hoon has previously revealed that he incurred a debt of approximately 3 billion won after failing in a sports center business. Since then, he has endured a difficult time, including living in a semi-basement and undergoing personal rehabilitation procedures.

In particular, he evoked sympathy by appearing on a broadcast last April and confessing, "Projects I had been preparing for over the past few years have fallen through one after another," adding that he was "in a very difficult financial situation. " Lee Hoon, who debuted in 1994, became known through dramas such as 'The Moon in Seoul' and was loved for his toned physique, earning him the title of the "original 'bodybuilder' star.
