[Sportschosun Kim Jun-seok] Broadcaster Kim Young-chul said that filming for "Knowing Bros" is proceeding as usual even after JTBC filed for corporate rehabilitation.
On the 25th, Kim Young-chul posted a video on his social media with the caption, "Waiting room for 'Knowing Bros.' Arrived early to watch soccer."
The video showed Kim Young-chul waiting to film while watching a 2026 FIFA World Cup match on a TV in the "Knowing Bros" waiting room.
He drew attention by sharing a relaxed scene of himself watching soccer and waiting before filming began.
The post attracted even more attention because it was shared shortly after JTBC filed for corporate rehabilitation.
Earlier, JTBC declared default on the 20.6 billion won securitized loan it failed to repay on the 12th.
After that, five major affiliates of the JoongAng Group, including JoongAng Holdings, JTBC, ContentreeJoongAng, and Megabox Joongang, filed for the start of corporate rehabilitation proceedings with the Seoul Bankruptcy Court.
There had been speculation that the production and filming of some variety shows could be affected, but JTBC officially stated, "Filming and broadcasting will continue without any changes or disruptions, just as they have been until now."
Kim Young-chul's waiting room post also appeared to support JTBC's explanation. "Knowing Bros" continued filming as scheduled, and Kim Young-chul shared a glimpse of his usual routine preparing for the shoot, showing that the program is operating normally.
Meanwhile, JTBC plans to improve its financial structure and normalize management through the corporate rehabilitation process.
