[Sportschosun, Jung Bit] Coupang Play is backing the launch of its new variety show, "Wonhee Is Twenty," with a special birthday cafe pop-up to celebrate the 20th birthday of Wonhee of Illit.
"Wonhee Is Twenty" is a relatable reality variety show that follows Wonhee as she approaches her first year as a 20-year-old and grows by fulfilling her bucket list one by one with the other members.
Coupang Play will run the "Wonhee Is Twenty" birthday cafe for three days, from the 25th to the 27th, at a cafe near Hongik University in Seoul. The pop-up was created to celebrate Wonhee's special moment as she becomes an adult with fans.
The cafe will be decorated with various moments from Wonhee in the program, and Coupang Wow Members who verify their membership will also receive limited-edition goods featuring Wonhee's charm.
Fan participation events have also been prepared. Through the "Ask Anything to 20-Year-Old Wonhee" corner, fans can leave messages of support and questions they are curious about. An event called the "Wonhee Mock Exam" will also be held to gauge fan enthusiasm. Those who score highly will get a chance to join a lucky draw for prizes such as signed posters.
On the opening day, the 25th, creator Malwang, who is well known as a fan of Illit, is expected to make a surprise visit. Having previously drawn attention with Illit challenge content, he is also expected to show off his signature cheerful charm at this birthday cafe.
"Wonhee Is Twenty" is a variety show that captures Wonhee's story as she turns 20 and grows through new experiences. It will be released every Saturday at 4 p.m. on Coupang Play.
