[Sportschosun Jung Bit] ONF introduced their new song "Open the Door."
ONF held a showcase for their second studio album, "ONF 2nd Full Album Part.2: My Self," at Cube Convention Center in Sangam, Seoul, on the 17th and said, "The new song will become the next 'Baba Mon,'" adding that it is "a refreshing yet forlorn song."
The new album continues the narrative from last year's second studio album, "ONF: My Identity." While the previous album conveyed hope and the strength to move forward to those in the dark as travelers chasing a dream, this one tells the story of making one's own choice at the end of the journey.
The title track, "Open the Door," captures the complex emotions felt in the fleeting moment just before moving from an uneasy present into the future. Its powerful rock sound and ONF's vocals, which move across a wide range, are expected to leave a distinctive impression.
Wyatt said, "When I first heard the song, I thought it could become the next 'Bye Bye Monster (Baba Mon).' It felt like a perfect example of K-pop," adding, "I thought about how relatable that fleeting emotion of opening a door in an uneasy present could be. I hope listeners will feel that empathy and think about opening the door when things do not go well."
Seungjun said he hoped listeners would hear it in many different situations, saying, "I felt freshness, loneliness, exhaustion, and a lot of sadness. The song is full of emotions, so I hope people will listen to it in ways that fit different situations." Iseon added, "I think it would be good to listen to it when you need courage, such as when changing jobs or taking on a challenge. Since the title track is built on a rock sound, it has a refreshing appeal. If it can help you feel cool this summer, I hope you will definitely listen to it."
ONF will release their second studio album, "ONF 2nd Full Album Part.2: My Self," on various online music services at 6 p.m. on the 17th and begin promotional activities.
