[Sportschosun Kim So-hee Reporter] Actress Lim Ji-yeon expressed deep trust and affection for Heo Nam-jun, her co-star in "My Royal Nemesis."
On the 15th, tvN (Total Variety Network) released a preview clip from "You Quiz on the Block" titled, "Ji-yeon really wanted to bring out Nam-jun's charm? Nam-jun's video letter to Ji-yeon."
In the video, Lim Ji-yeon, the lead actress of the SBS drama "My Royal Nemesis," appeared and shared candid stories, from behind-the-scenes moments to her chemistry with co-star Heo Nam-jun.
Lim said, "In romantic comedies, the chemistry between the male and female leads is really important," adding, "Both actors have to be appealing for each other to shine more." She then said of Heo, "Nam-jun is such a charming actor," and added that she strongly hoped his charm would come through well in the drama.
After hearing that, Yoo Jae-suk agreed, saying, "That feeling seems to come through in the work, so viewers end up watching with a warm smile."
Lim especially did not hold back in expressing gratitude toward Heo Nam-jun. She said, "Meeting actor Heo Nam-jun gave me a partner I could communicate with without hesitation. That was truly a miracle," highlighting their exceptional chemistry.
She continued, "I had a lot of screen time and a heavy sense of responsibility, so there were many moments when I felt physically and emotionally drained." She added, "But every time, Nam-jun lifted me up like a vitamin. Even though I was the senior, I relied on him a lot." She recalled, "I kept thinking how lucky I was that 'My Royal Nemesis' had Nam-jun, and that made filming feel even warmer."
Heo Nam-jun also shared his sincerity toward Lim Ji-yeon through the video letter. He said, "On set, we joke around and say, 'It was thanks to me,'" and added, "Noona has such a great personality. No matter how hard things get, she never shows it and always takes everything in stride."
He continued, "Even when she barely got any sleep, she always smiled and brightened the atmosphere on set." He added, "People say I played the vitamin-like role, but if she hadn't been so receptive, that kind of atmosphere could never have been created."
He also said, "She always adjusted with a great attitude, played along with my jokes, and was very considerate. I really benefited a lot," expressing his affection for Lim Ji-yeon.
As the two exchanged generous praise and trust, their special chemistry seemed to be the driving force behind the excitement in "My Royal Nemesis."
