[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Forestella's Ko Woo-rim expressed his affection for his wife, Yuna Kim, while mentioning her "extraordinary qualities."
In the YouTube content "Salty Brother Shin Dong-yup," released on the afternoon of the 15th, Forestella members Son Tae-jin, Cho Min Gyu, and Ko Woo-rim appeared and shared various stories with MCs Shin Dong-yup and Jung Ho-cheol.
The episode also included a conversation recalling Yuna Kim's days as a figure skater. Son Tae-jin said, "She has a remarkable depth when it comes to singing and music, and that shows in the way she chooses songs. One of my favorite songs is 'Send in the Clowns,' and I thought, 'How did she even think of singing that?' Most people tend to go for something more provocative, but her choices always had a classical touch. That made me feel she had a truly exceptional understanding of music."
Hearing that, Ko Woo-rim carefully brought up his wife, Yuna Kim. He said, "Her talent and physical abilities seem to be on a level above ordinary people," and added, "She hardly ever catches a cold, recovers very quickly, and is very healthy."
He went on to say that although she has not been managing herself in any special way since retiring, she has always maintained a very strong and healthy body.
After hearing Ko Woo-rim's story, Shin Dong-yup nodded and said, "Of course she is different. She is the world's No. 1," drawing laughter from everyone on set.
Ko Woo-rim also shared behind-the-scenes memories of his wedding day. Recalling the moment Forestella performed the congratulatory song at his wedding to Yuna Kim, he said, "I was seated with the groom and then went down briefly to sing."
Cho Min Gyu remembered the day and said, "Woo-rim usually doesn't get nervous. Even when he won 'Phantom Singer,' he was the only one who didn't cry. But at the wedding, he suddenly forgot the lyrics. We had to prompt him from the side."
Ko Woo-rim also laughed as he said, "I made a mistake in a place where I had never once gone wrong before. I thought, 'Why am I like this?' I guess there really is a sense of tension at a wedding."
Shin Dong-yup added, "You must have done a lot of congratulatory performances. Yuna Kim was there, and you were thinking, 'That woman is my wife.' You must have been so happy that it just happened in that moment," which drew more laughter.
Cho Min Gyu said, "Everything was so beautiful. The venue was beautiful, and the moment I walked in, it felt like a dream. I thought, 'So this is what getting married is like.'" He conveyed how moved he was at the time.
Meanwhile, Forestella member Ko Woo-rim held a private wedding ceremony with former figure skater Yuna Kim at The Shilla Seoul on October 22, 2022. The two reportedly met for the first time at the congratulatory stage for the 2018 All That Skate ice show and dated for three years.
