[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Golf legend Pak Se-ri drew attention by candidly revealing how much she earned during her playing days.
On the 15th episode of tvN STORY's "What Are We Saving It For?", the show marked its first anniversary with a celebratory feast in Jeju Province.
During the broadcast, actor Ahn Jae-wook began by recalling the Hallyu wave in China during his activities there. He said, "I became known for 'Star in My Heart,' and the drama 'Goodbye My Love' also received tremendous love," adding, "In the early 2000s, I worked a lot in China."
Lee Young-ja then asked, "I heard appearance fees are on a different scale in China?" Ahn Jae-wook reflected on the period, saying, "The term Hallyu was coined when I was active," and "In the beginning, when Korean singers performed in China, the standards for fees were not clear, so there were many ups and downs."
He added, "The people at the forefront laid the groundwork, and when they stepped back, the next generation of artists were able to work while receiving enormous fees," and "Compared with my popularity, I honestly did not receive an enormous appearance fee."
As Lee Young-ja listened, she grew curious about the exact scale of the earnings, and the conversation naturally turned to income. Pak Se-ri then directly mentioned how much she made during her playing career, instantly focusing everyone's attention.
When Lee Young-ja asked, "Did you make around 10 billion won?" Pak Se-ri coolly replied, "That's right." She then surprised everyone by revealing, "Just for commercial shoots, it was 10 billion won."
