[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Actor Ahn Jae-wook drew laughs after revealing an unexpected rivalry with singer Taeyang at a kindergarten sports day.
On the 15th episode of tvN STORY's "What Are We Saving It For?", Ahn appeared as a guest and showed off his lively sense of humor as a celebratory meal was held in Jeju Province to mark the show's first anniversary.
That day, Lee Young-ja asked Ahn, who became a father later in life at 54, "Aren't your children still young? Do you go to school sports days and events? Or do you just send the mother?"
Ahn replied, "I do a lot too. I even do things like running," saying that he actively takes part in childcare.
He then brought up an unexpected sports-day story that made everyone laugh. Ahn said, "Taeyang's child and our second child go to the same kindergarten," adding, "We had a kindergarten sports day last year, and while I was running, Taeyang was right next to me."
He vividly described the scene, saying, "Taeyang was moving back and forth like a squirrel." He then added, "He finished first in the race. I came in third because my shoe came off while I was running," sending the studio into laughter.
Ahn also spoke about the difference between his parenting environment and that of his peers. He laughed and said, "When I meet my classmates and talk about sports days, they say they don't even remember them," before adding, "My friends are 56 or 57, and among their children, some are already married, while others have even completed military service."
Meanwhile, Ahn married musical actor Choi Hyun Joo in 2015, and they have one son and one daughter.
