[Sportschosun Kim So-hee Reporter] Andabin, the son of the late actor Ahn Sung-ki, expressed his heartfelt longing for his father in heaven on Father's Day.
On the 22nd, Andabin shared several photos on his social media account along with the message, "Happy Father's Day. Precious photos left by my wife. In Chicago in 2018. I miss you so much, Dad."
In the released photos, Andabin is seen standing side by side with his father, the late Ahn Sung-ki, leaving viewers deeply moved. In particular, the late Ahn Sung-ki is shown smiling gently beside his son, and the warm, calm presence that defined him in his healthier years comes through clearly. The father-and-son moment captured in an ordinary day remains a memory that time cannot easily erase, leaving an even deeper lingering impression.
Meanwhile, the late Ahn Sung-ki passed away on January 5 at the age of 74. He was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019 and continued chemotherapy before being declared cancer-free in 2020. However, during a routine checkup, the disease recurred about six months later, and he resumed treatment. On December 30 last year, he was rushed to the hospital in cardiac arrest. He never regained consciousness and died six days after being admitted.
