KT Unveils Its Vision for Future Network Security at KICS Summer General Conference

KT Corporation announced on the 21st that it recently took part in the KICS Summer General Conference and unveiled its E2E Quantum Security. The KICS Summer General Conference is a venue where experts from industry, academia and research share the latest ICT research achievements and innovative technologies. This year's event was held from the 17th to the 19th at Jeju Haevichi Hotel & Resort.

According to KT Corporation, it presented E2E Quantum Security during a special session at the KICS Summer General Conference on the 19th. The system is designed to respond to changes in AI and quantum technology environments and strengthen the security of existing networks. It is built around three pillars: Quantum Link, which protects the data transmission path between customers and the telecom network; Quantum Node, which detects vulnerabilities and anomalies in network equipment and operations to provide protection; and Quantum Vault, which safeguards the entire data lifecycle from creation to storage, use and deletion.

KT Corporation said it expects the new system to establish an integrated protection framework across all areas, from transmission paths to network equipment and data, and further improve response speed to cyberattacks and overall security stability.

To ensure network reliability, including the protection of personal information, KT Corporation is pushing to strengthen its quantum-based network competitiveness. At the same time, it is reorganizing its information security system and pursuing high-intensity security innovation, centered on the Information Security Office newly formed after Park Yoon-young took office as president.

Lee Jong-sik, head of KT Corporation's Future Network Lab and executive vice president, said, "We will continue to strengthen the stability and reliability of future networks based on our AI and quantum technology capabilities."
