The symposium was organized to strengthen the professional capabilities of clinical support nurses and to advance a patient-centered care system through collaboration.
About 250 people attended the symposium, including medical staff from 24 departments and Nursing Department officials. Through three lectures, they shared the role and future direction of clinical support nursing.
The lectures covered tracheostomy wound care by Park Jae-hong, professor of ENT; enteral nutrition by Han Min-ji, a clinical dietitian; and understanding chemotherapy by Jo Seon-woo, a clinical support nurse in Oncology and Hematology. The sessions focused on practical training that can be applied in clinical settings.
Gong Hyeon-hui, head of the Nursing Department, said, "This symposium is a place for clinical support nurses to share their expertise and experience, and to communicate and cooperate in order to provide better medical services to patients." She added, "We will continue to strengthen clinical support nursing capabilities through ongoing education and academic activities."
