[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Woo-joo] Singer Jo Hyun-ah explained why she stopped taking Wegovy.
On the 23rd, a video titled "A Han River Picnic with a Celebrity I Had a Tense Bathroom Standoff With on Our First Meeting" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Jo Hyun-ah's Ordinary Thursday Night."
Kang Mi-na said she had met Jo Hyun-ah in private before, adding, "I saw her at the after-party following a premiere, and it seemed like my sister didn't have lipstick in the bathroom. I usually can't do things like that, but I said, 'Would you like to use mine?'"
Jo Hyun-ah, who remembered the moment, said, "I'm not in the film industry, but I do follow film after-parties pretty well. I saw her at a film after-party, and then I saw her again somewhere else."
During an impromptu "What's in My Bag" segment, Kang Mi-na pulled mint candy out of her bag. Jo Hyun-ah joked, "Do you usually smell?" Kang replied, "I talk a lot with people, and I recently dieted a lot. Whenever I got hungry, I kept chewing one of these on set."
While looking at her phone during a break, Jo Hyun-ah told Kang Mi-na why she stopped taking Wegovy. "I don't know if you saw the articles, but there were a lot of headlines saying I had 'broken through Wegovy.' There were many stories like, 'Jo Hyun-ah, how did she beat Wegovy?' I took it for about three months, but I think I lost weight too quickly. Then the rebound came," she said.
Jo Hyun-ah then asked Kang Mi-na, "I don't think you get rebound weight gain," but Kang Mi-na replied, "I had gained weight, and this time there is a scene in 'Tomorrow Is Work Too!' where I wear a rash guard. There's a surfing scene. I had to wear a swimsuit, so I panicked and lost the weight quickly."
