[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] Singer Sean said he was embarrassed at his children's kindergarten running race.
On the 24th, the YouTube channel 'With Sean' uploaded a video titled 'Senior Lee Bong-ju Is Getting Healthier and Healthier.'
Lee Bong-ju, who had battled a rare disease, said his health had improved significantly and stated, "Now 10 km is nothing. I've gotten much healthier, so I make running a regular part of my life." Sean responded, "Everyone in the country, including me, is happy to see you back to how you were."
After exchanging greetings, Sean and Lee Bong-ju warmed up with a light run. Afterward, the two enjoyed a hearty meal of Korean beef. Sean then asked Lee Bong-ju, "You have a son. Have you ever gone to a sports day? Did you run?"
Lee Bong-ju replied, "The kids told me to join in and try it as a dad. I'm a national athlete, so it would be awkward if I did badly. The kids kept asking me, so I ended up running. Once I did, all the attention was on me. Still, since I had retired not long before, many people probably thought I would easily take first place. But contrary to everyone's expectations, I came in third," drawing laughter.
Sean said, "It was only 100 meters. The two parents who beat you will brag about it for the rest of their lives," and Lee Bong-ju joked, "They still go around bragging about it now."
Lee Bong-ju also asked Sean, "When you went to kindergarten and ran, did you come in first?" but Sean could not answer.
Sean confessed, "I was paying more attention to fashion back then. I went to the sports day wearing stylish shoes instead of running shoes. But it was the morning, so the grass was a little wet. I fell over. It wasn't that I couldn't do it — I just fell over."
Sean added, "I had just started running at the time, so people were whispering, 'Sean is there, so he's definitely going to win first place,' but I ended up falling hard."
The production team said, "That must have been a huge gift for those parents too," and Sean laughed, saying, "They'll be able to brag forever that they beat Sean, who was going to a triathlon."
