Kim Seung-hyun suggested that his mother do a fashion show. Although she asked, "Why would I do that?" she introduced a variety of outfits to fans. For her first look, Kim Seung-hyun's mother appeared in a white blouse and checkered pants. "Has it been 20 years? The pants are 15 years old, and this top is 10 years old. I keep all my old clothes and style them together," she said. "I wear them when I go grocery shopping." Kim Seung-hyun laughed and said, "Who dresses like that to go grocery shopping?" But Chang Jeong-yoon said, "She should dress like that. A friend of mine lives next door. She said she saw your mother wearing red shoes. She said your mother dresses very stylishly when she goes grocery shopping."
As his mother walked around the hallway in her stylish outfit, Chang Jeong-yoon exclaimed, "You do better than your son. You should try being a senior model."
Chang Jeong-yoon said, "In your next life, you should be born as a model." His mother replied, "When I was young, my dream was to become an actress. Back then, my body and face were both fine. But because my family situation was not good, I could not achieve that dream. Still, thanks to my son, I appeared on TV and even did 'Salimnam' for three years. I am satisfied with that."
Later, his mother dressed up to go out for a nourishing meal. The outfit she chose was a gift from her daughter-in-law, Chang Jeong-yoon. "I don't buy expensive things. I don't even buy clothes. I just wear what you give me," she said. Chang Jeong-yoon sympathized, saying, "But you have a lot of money, Mom." Her mother asked, "How would you know whether I have a lot of money or not?" Chang Jeong-yoon then said, "Didn't you tell me? You were rumored to be cash-rich in Gimpo." Her mother denied it, saying, "It's just a rumor." Even so, Chang Jeong-yoon urged her, "Then please buy stylish clothes at a department store. Buy pretty, expensive things and wear them."
Meanwhile, Kim Seung-hyun and his wife recently explained themselves after feeling wronged by malicious comments accusing them of "poverty marketing." Kim Seung-hyun's wife, Chang Jeong-yoon, said, "We live with more than enough financial comfort. Kim Seung-hyun goes out to work, appears on broadcasts, and does events to earn money, but people talk as if he cannot make any money at all, like he is unemployed, and that hurts." She added, "I also saw comments saying, 'Don't do poverty marketing,' but we are not poor, so we have never done poverty marketing. And we have no intention of doing it."
