[Sportschosun Reporter Jung Bit] MBC's "Show! Music Core," the center of K-pop in Korea, is bringing an early-summer festival to Ulsan.
"Show! Music Core in Ulsan" will be held at 7 p.m. on the 15th at Taehwagang National Garden in Ulsan Metropolitan City.
"Show! Music Core in Ulsan" has been a signature performance of the "Ulsan Summer Festival" since 2011, held every year in late July to early August in Ulsan. It is one of the city’s iconic summer festival stages. This year, the event was renamed the "Ulsan Music Festival," and the schedule was moved up to June, the cooler early-summer season.
Above all, the event is drawing attention for its all-time star lineup. The MCs will be AND2BLE's Gyubin, BOYNEXTDOOR's Sungho, and MEOVV's Sooin. The three will take the mic and help drive the lively energy of the Taehwagang River area.
The performers include RIIZE, whose member Wonbin is from Ulsan, along with global favorites BOYNEXTDOOR, fromis_9, KickFlip, STAYC, Billlie, tripleS, live-performance powerhouses N.Flying and LUCY, Park Ji-hyun, Mighty Mouth, rookie sensation ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1), AND2BLE, Baby DONT Cry, Close Your Eyes, dodree, EPEX, IDID, izna, KiiiKiii, KickFlip, and xikers.
The show will feature powerful K-pop stages, as well as trusted bands, emotional vocalists, and trot performances. Artists from a wide range of genres are expected to heat up Ulsan's night.
The concert is drawing added interest because it will be directed by MBC producer Han Seung-hoon, who is also from Ulsan. Han recently gained attention for his stylish direction of Ha Ji-won's "Show! Music Core" stage. This time as well, he is expected to deliver a more polished and dazzling performance for his hometown audience.
The event will also offer thoughtful amenities for visitors. On site, there will be mat areas, shaded rest zones, food stalls, and storage lockers, allowing audiences to enjoy the early-summer evening concert in greater comfort. A Ulsan Metropolitan City official said, "We hope this year's newly launched Ulsan Music Festival will establish itself as Ulsan's signature cultural content, where beautiful nature and music come together."
"Show! Music Core in Ulsan," where the blue landscape of Taehwagang National Garden will meet stages by top K-pop artists, will air on MBC on the 20th.
