[Sportschosun, Lee Ge-eun] Actress Baek Jin-hee shared the story of how she ended up in the emergency room during a trip to Thailand, stressing the importance of travel insurance.
On the 27th, the YouTube channel "Jinny Is Back" released a video showing Baek Jin-hee giving a tour of her home.
That day, Baek Jin-hee showed souvenirs she had brought back from Thailand and said, "I have a sad story." She went on to recall, "About two years ago, I took my first solo trip in my life to Bangkok, Thailand. I am not very good at eating alone, but I gathered my courage and ordered oysters at a seafood restaurant. I ate just one, and by lunchtime on the second day, my body felt off. It was 34 degrees, but even wearing fleece workout clothes, I was freezing."
It turned out she had food poisoning. Baek Jin-hee explained, "I was in so much pain that I sat down and cried in the hotel lobby. I was throwing up and had diarrhea, and although I bought medicine, it did not work like Korean medicine. Since I had not bought travel insurance, calling an ambulance would have cost a lot. So I called Grab and went to the emergency room, where I got an IV and picked up some medicine." She added, "I spent 800,000 won in one night, and with taxi fares, it came to nearly 1 million won. You really do need travel insurance," once again emphasizing its importance.
Meanwhile, Baek Jin-hee appeared in the SBS drama "Judge Lee Han-young," which ended in February, and is currently reviewing her next project.
