오는 7일 개봉하는 영화 '크리스마스 캐럴'은 한겨레문학상 수상자인 주원규 작가의 동명 소설 '크리스마스 캐럴'을 원작으로 한 작품이다. 쌍둥이 동생이 죽은 후, 복수를 위해 소년원에 들어간 형이 소년원 패거리와 잔혹한 대결을 펼치는 액션 스릴러다. 박진영은 쌍둥이 형제 일우와 월우 역을 맡아 첫 1인 2역에 도전했다. 상반된 두 사람의 감정을 표현해낸 그는 "처음 시나리오를 읽고 나서는 작품을 하게 될지도 몰랐기 때문에 별로 생각이 없었다. 그런데 시간이 지날수록 작품 속 인물들이 계속 떠오르더라. 그러던 중, 우연히 감독님을 만나뵙게 됐고, '오케이' 사인을 주셔서 속으로는 큰 일 났다고 생각했다. 작품에 합류하게 되자마자 부랴부랴 열심히 준비했던 기억이 난다"고 전했다.
